Haryana Wheat Fungicide Case: Court Accepts CBI Closure Report

A special CBI court in Chandigarh has accepted the closure report filed by the agency regarding a 2015 preliminary inquiry and FIR into the mandatory purchase of Raxil 2% DS fungicide for wheat seeds in Haryana. The court found no evidence of criminal conspiracy, cheating, or financial loss to the government. The case stemmed from allegations that the mandate, made under the Bhupender Singh Hooda administration, favoured a single supplier and bypassed certification norms. However, investigations revealed the policy was deliberated across administrative tiers and approved by the Chief Minister.

चंडीगढ़ की एक विशेष सीबीआई अदालत ने हरियाणा में गेहूं के बीज के लिए रैक्सिल 2% डीएस फफूंदनाशक की अनिवार्य खरीद के संबंध में 2015 की प्रारंभिक जांच और एफआईआर पर एजेंसी द्वारा दायर क्लोजर रिपोर्ट स्वीकार कर ली है। अदालत को आपराधिक साजिश, धोखाधड़ी या सरकार को वित्तीय नुकसान का कोई सबूत नहीं मिला। यह मामला भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा प्रशासन के तहत की गई एक अनिवार्यता के आरोपों से उपजा था, जिसमें कहा गया था कि इससे एक ही आपूर्तिकर्ता को फायदा हुआ और प्रमाणन मानदंडों को दरकिनार किया गया। हालांकि, जांच में पता चला कि नीति पर प्रशासनिक स्तर पर विचार-विमर्श किया गया था और मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा अनुमोदित किया गया था।
