Despite receiving 81% of average rainfall, Nagaur's ponds are drying up in September, a situation last seen 24 years ago. This year's rainfall was erratic, failing to generate sufficient runoff into water bodies. Experts note that while the total rainfall figure appears normal, its uneven distribution and lack of sustained downpours have left reservoirs depleted. This raises concerns about drinking water availability for residents and livestock, as canal water supply is also insufficient to meet demand.

नागौर में औसत से 81% बारिश होने के बावजूद, सितंबर में तालाब सूख रहे हैं। ऐसी स्थिति 24 साल पहले देखी गई थी। इस साल बारिश अनियमित रही, जिससे तालाबों में पानी नहीं भर पाया। जानकारों का कहना है कि कुल बारिश भले ही सामान्य लगे, लेकिन इसका असमान वितरण और लगातार बारिश न होने से जलाशय खाली रह गए हैं। इससे लोगों और मवेशियों के पीने के पानी की किल्लत हो सकती है, क्योंकि नहर का पानी भी कम पड़ रहा है।
