India-China Trade Hits $92 Billion in Early 2026

Bilateral trade between India and China reached a record $92 billion in the first half of 2026. This surge was partly driven by a 39% year-on-year increase in India's exports to China from April to August, particularly in electronics and mobile phone components. Chinese Consul General Qin Jie highlighted the growth during a forum on BRICS and China-India relations. He also noted that leaders emphasized viewing each other as partners and resolving differences through mutual respect, following discussions at the BRICS summit.
