केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी ने नई दिल्ली में टाटा सन्स के चेयरमैन एन चंद्रशेखरन से मुलाकात की। दोनों ने भारत की उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली को इंडस्ट्री की ज़रूरतों के साथ जोड़ने पर चर्चा की। इस बातचीत में इनोवेशन, रिसर्च और सस्टेनेबल डेवलपमेंट को बढ़ावा देने पर ज़ोर दिया गया। इसके लिए एजुकेशनल इंस्टीट्यूशंस और इंडस्ट्रियल सेक्टर के बीच तालमेल मज़बूत करने की बात हुई। उन्होंने ऐसे तरीके खोजे जिनसे स्टूडेंट्स को ज़रूरी स्किल्स और नॉलेज मिल सके, ताकि वे भारत के विकास में बेहतर योगदान दे सकें। जोशी ने कहा कि इंडस्ट्री और मैनेजमेंट एजुकेशन में चंद्रशेखरन का लंबा अनुभव उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली को मज़बूत बनाने के लिए बहुत कीमती है।
