12 Hidden Masterpieces Valued at $450M, Including Van Gogh and Cézanne, Go to Auction

A collection of twelve Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artworks, unseen for 50 years and valued at nearly $450 million, will be auctioned on November 18, 2026. The collection, amassed by Argentine collectors Nelly Arrieta de Blaquier and Carlos Pedro Blaquier, includes Vincent van Gogh's "Châtaigniers en fleurs" estimated at $180 million and Paul Cézanne's "Arlequin" at $120 million. Sotheby's expects the sale in New York to set new records for the artists. The collection also features works by Monet, Pissarro, Degas, and Renoir.
