Biotechnology firm Venomics AI, an IISc spin-out, has raised $2.7 million in its first institutional funding round. Co-led by Speciale Invest and South Park Commons, the pre-seed funding will expand the company's Venom Atlas dataset and enhance its AI and laboratory screening capabilities. Venomics AI leverages venom biology and artificial intelligence to discover therapeutic leads from animal venoms, a rich but underexplored source of potential medicines. The investment will also support team expansion and the validation of promising molecules.
