US Democratic lawmaker Pramila Jayapal has criticised the Trump administration's decision to suspend eight IT firms, including Microsoft, from a program linked to employment-based green cards. Jayapal stated that the move undermines legal immigration and that the administration is restricting legal pathways for immigrants. She argued that the technology giant has been a leader in advocating for comprehensive immigration reforms. Jayapal believes that targeting Microsoft or the PERM program will weaken America's ability to innovate and hurt efforts to build a strong, stable workforce.
