Alangayam police in Tirupattur have arrested three individuals for abducting a 17-year-old school student. The accused, identified as R. Harish, V. Bhuvanesh, and G. Desingh, allegedly demanded a ransom of ₹50 lakh from the student's father. The student, S. Sanjeev Kumar, had gone missing on September 17. Police utilized CCTV footage and mobile signals to trace the boy to a hideout in Bengaluru. The student was safely rescued, and the arrested individuals have been lodged in sub-jail.
