Central University Student Dies By Suicide In Assam

A fifth-semester student at Tezpur University in Assam died by suicide, with their body found in their hostel room. Police preliminary investigations suggest suicide. The university registrar stated that the exact circumstances are yet to be officially established and announced the formation of a high-level committee to review student mental well-being support mechanisms. This incident follows another student's death near Guwahati, allegedly due to medical negligence, which sparked protests.

असम के तेजपुर यूनिवर्सिटी में पांचवें सेमेस्टर के एक छात्र ने अपने हॉस्टल के कमरे में आत्महत्या कर ली। पुलिस की शुरुआती जांच में आत्महत्या की बात सामने आई है। यूनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार ने कहा कि अभी असल वजह पता नहीं चली है। उन्होंने छात्रों की मानसिक सेहत की मदद के लिए एक कमेटी बनाने का भी ऐलान किया है। यह घटना गुवाहाटी के पास एक और छात्र की मौत के बाद हुई है, जिसके कारण लोग विरोध प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे।
