Oil marketing companies have received bids for ethanol supply that surpass the total quantity tendered. The bids are for the 2026-27 supply year, with a significant portion coming from maize-based ethanol. Maize accounted for nearly 59 per cent of all offers submitted. This strong response indicates a robust interest in ethanol blending programs and the potential for increased domestic production of biofuels.
