Russia Expands Gulf Ties With Visa-Free Travel Talks
Hindustan Times · world
Russia is deepening its diplomatic engagement in the Gulf by holding visa-free travel discussions with Bahrain and Kuwait. Both nations host significant U.S. military facilities, including the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and multiple bases in Kuwait. This move follows existing visa-free agreements Russia has with Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE. If finalized, these new agreements would extend visa-free travel across six Gulf states, significantly strengthening Moscow's travel links and influence in the region amidst heightened Middle Eastern tensions.
