The Japanese government has refuted social media claims that it agreed to accept 100,000 workers from Bangladesh. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that no such agreement was made, even during the summit meeting between the Japanese and Bangladeshi Prime Ministers on October 27. While Japanese companies may invest approximately 1 trillion yen in Bangladesh over five years, potentially creating 200,000 jobs there, this is distinct from Japan hiring Bangladeshi nationals to work in Japan.
