Goa CM Inaugurates World Konkani Music Convention, Guinness Record Attempt

The First World Konkani Music Mega Convention, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Mandd Sobhann, has begun in Mangaluru. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the 13-day international event aimed at uniting Konkani speakers globally and showcasing their musical heritage. A significant highlight is the Guinness World Records attempt, 'Konko’nni Niro’nto’ri – So’msar So’raso’ri,' featuring a continuous 12-day singing marathon with over 6,700 singers from around the world. The convention is dedicated to the memory of Mandd Sobhann founder Eric Ozario.

मंड सोभाण्ण की 40वीं वर्षगांठ के उपलक्ष्य में पहला वर्ल्ड कोंकणी म्यूजिक मेगा कन्वेंशन मैंगलोर में शुरू हो गया है। गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत ने 13 दिनों के इस अंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किया, जिसका उद्देश्य दुनिया भर के कोंकणी भाषियों को एकजुट करना और उनकी संगीत विरासत को प्रदर्शित करना है। एक खास आकर्षण गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स का प्रयास है, 'कोंको’न्नी नीरो’न्तो’री – सो’म्सार सो’रसो’री,' जिसमें दुनिया भर के 6,700 से अधिक गायकों द्वारा 12 दिनों तक लगातार गायन का मैराथन शामिल है। यह कन्वेंशन मंड सोभाण्ण के संस्थापक एरिक ओज़ेरियो की याद को समर्पित है।
