Karnataka is set to introduce a new bill to govern apartment ownership and management, replacing outdated laws from 1972. The proposed legislation will clearly define land and common area ownership for flat owners. It also mandates structural checks for older buildings and establishes a two-tier dispute resolution system. This move aims to provide clarity and better protection for apartment dwellers across the state.

कर्नाटक में अब अपार्टमेंट के मालिकाना हक और प्रबंधन के लिए नया कानून आने वाला है। यह 1972 के पुराने कानूनों की जगह लेगा। नए बिल में फ्लैट मालिकों के लिए ज़मीन और कॉमन एरिया के मालिकाना हक को साफ-साफ बताया जाएगा। साथ ही, पुरानी इमारतों की स्ट्रक्चरल जांच ज़रूरी होगी और विवाद सुलझाने के लिए दो-स्तरीय सिस्टम बनेगा। इससे राज्य भर के फ्लैट खरीदारों को ज़्यादा सुरक्षा और स्पष्टता मिलेगी।
