Tata Trusts to Build Institutions Directly, Not Just Fund Them

Tata Trusts chairman Noel Tata announced a strategic shift towards directly building institutions rather than solely providing funding. This move aims to create enduring public assets and aligns with the founders' original vision of enterprise serving society. The Trusts disbursed Rs 1,556 crore in FY26, with Rs 1,353 crore allocated to institutional grants. Noel highlighted education as a priority, emphasizing the need for institutions that nurture talent domestically. In healthcare, the Trusts are developing a network of 40-50 non-profit general hospitals.

टाटा ट्रस्ट्स के चेयरमैन नोएल टाटा ने एक बड़ी घोषणा की है। अब ट्रस्ट सिर्फ पैसे देने के बजाय सीधे संस्थान बनाएंगे। इसका मकसद समाज के लिए लंबे समय तक चलने वाली संपत्ति बनाना है। यह संस्थापकों की सोच के भी अनुरूप है कि व्यापार समाज की सेवा करे। ट्रस्ट ने वित्त वर्ष 2026 में 1,556 करोड़ रुपये बांटे, जिसमें से 1,353 करोड़ रुपये संस्थानों को अनुदान के तौर पर दिए गए। नोएल टाटा ने शिक्षा को प्राथमिकता बताया और कहा कि ऐसे संस्थान बनाने होंगे जो देश में ही प्रतिभा को निखारें। स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में, ट्रस्ट 40-50 गैर-लाभकारी सामान्य अस्पतालों का नेटवर्क बना रहे हैं।
