The Supreme Court has cancelled the bail granted to Shiv Sena corporator Ramesh Mhatre, who is accused of assaulting doctors at a municipal hospital in Thane district. The apex court emphasized that the medical fraternity must be protected and cannot be attacked. Mhatre has been directed to surrender within three days. The court noted that Mhatre has been involved in 19 criminal cases. The incident occurred after an argument over alleged delays in treating a woman patient.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शिवसेना पार्षद रमेश म्हात्रे को मिली जमानत रद्द कर दी है, जिन पर ठाणे जिले के एक नगर निगम अस्पताल में डॉक्टरों से मारपीट का आरोप है। शीर्ष अदालत ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि चिकित्सा बिरादरी को सुरक्षित रखा जाना चाहिए और उन पर हमला नहीं किया जा सकता। म्हात्रे को तीन दिनों के भीतर आत्मसमर्पण करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। अदालत ने कहा कि म्हात्रे 19 आपराधिक मामलों में शामिल रहे हैं। यह घटना एक महिला मरीज के इलाज में कथित देरी को लेकर हुई बहस के बाद हुई।
