Acquitting an official in a two-decade-old case, the court noted he was not caught with bribe money. An intermediary accepted it, and the CBI failed to prove it was for the accused. The court emphasized that mere money changing hands doesn't establish criminality under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एक रिश्वतखोरी मामले में CBI की तेज कार्रवाई पर सवाल उठाए हैं। कोर्ट ने कहा कि इतनी जल्दीबाजी शक पैदा कर सकती है। 20 साल पुराने मामले में एक अधिकारी को बरी करते हुए कोर्ट ने कहा कि उन्हें रिश्वत की रकम के साथ नहीं पकड़ा गया था। एक बिचौलिए ने पैसे लिए थे, और CBI यह साबित नहीं कर पाई कि यह आरोपी के लिए था।
