New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner acknowledged that young Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi would be difficult to dismiss if he plays in the upcoming five-match T20 series. Santner stated that while Sooryavanshi has been used sparingly, research has been done on his game, and the team has plans if he features. He also anticipates veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar will enjoy the New Zealand conditions, especially with the new ball. Santner hopes for a contest where bowlers dominate, though acknowledges it depends on the pitch and weather.
