Central Team Assesses Drought Impact in Yadgir and Raichur Villages

An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) visited drought-affected villages in Yadgir and Raichur districts on Sunday to assess crop damage and farmer distress. The three-member team interacted with farmers to understand the severity of the crisis caused by a prolonged dry spell. Standing crops like cotton, green gram, and red gram were extensively damaged, pushing agricultural households into financial strain. The IMCT's findings will inform a financial relief package under the National Disaster Response Fund.

रविवार को एक इंटर-मिनिस्टेरियल सेंट्रल टीम (IMCT) ने फसल क्षति और किसानों की परेशानी का आकलन करने के लिए यादगीर और रायचूर जिलों के सूखा प्रभावित गांवों का दौरा किया। तीन सदस्यीय टीम ने लंबे समय तक सूखे की वजह से पैदा हुए संकट की गंभीरता को समझने के लिए किसानों से बातचीत की। कपास, हरी मूंग और लाल चना जैसी खड़ी फसलों को काफी नुकसान हुआ, जिससे कृषि परिवारों पर आर्थिक दबाव बढ़ गया। IMCT की रिपोर्ट के आधार पर नेशनल डिजास्टर रिस्पांस फंड के तहत वित्तीय राहत पैकेज तैयार किया जाएगा।
