Odisha CM Announces 2.91 Lakh New Homes Under Rural Housing Scheme

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended the state's rural housing scheme by two years, aiming to construct an additional 2.91 lakh homes. The total cost of the scheme will remain ₹7,550 crore, with ₹3,500 crore previously allocated for repairs now redirected to new construction. Beneficiaries completing their homes within five months will receive ₹35,000, and those finishing in seven months will get ₹20,000, an increase from previous incentives.

ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन चरण मांझी ने राज्य की ग्रामीण आवास योजना को दो साल के लिए बढ़ा दिया है, जिसका लक्ष्य 2.91 लाख अतिरिक्त घर बनाना है। योजना की कुल लागत ₹7,550 करोड़ रहेगी, जिसमें से ₹3,500 करोड़ जो पहले मरम्मत के लिए आवंटित थे, अब नए निर्माण में लगाए जाएंगे। अपने घर पांच महीने के भीतर पूरे करने वाले लाभार्थियों को ₹35,000 मिलेंगे, और सात महीने में पूरा करने वालों को ₹20,000 मिलेंगे, जो पिछले प्रोत्साहनों से अधिक है।
