Govt Bond Yields Rise On OMO Sales, Inflation

Government bond yields increased on Tuesday following the central bank's announcement of bond sales in the shorter tenure segment. Retail inflation reaching a 20-month high also contributed to the rise, fueling expectations of a potential rate hike next month. The 10-year benchmark bond yield rose 7 basis points to 7.07%, while the five-year bond increased by 17 basis points to 6.79%. Global bond yields also hardened, with the 10-year US Treasury moving above 5.02%.

मंगलवार को सरकारी बॉन्ड यील्ड बढ़ गए। सेंट्रल बैंक ने कम अवधि के बॉन्ड बेचने का ऐलान किया था। साथ ही, खुदरा महंगाई 20 महीने के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुंच गई। इससे अगले महीने ब्याज दरें बढ़ने की उम्मीदें बढ़ गईं। 10 साल के बेंचमार्क बॉन्ड यील्ड 7 बेसिस पॉइंट बढ़कर 7.07% हो गए। 5 साल के बॉन्ड 17 बेसिस पॉइंट बढ़कर 6.79% पर पहुंच गए।
