A 26-year-old man, identified as Asik Ali, a Rapido driver, has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a Guwahati University student in a homestay. The homestay owner was also taken into custody. Police revealed that the duo was allowed to stay without proper documentation, and they frequented the homestay. The victim's body showed multiple injuries, including on her genitals, with the post-mortem report being crucial for determining the cause of death.
