Madras HC Summons HR&CE Commissioner Over Contempt Plea

The Madras High Court has summoned the Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department to appear before it. This action stems from a contempt petition alleging non-compliance with a previous court order. The original order mandated the removal of encroachments from temple lands belonging to the Kalyana Pasupatheeswarar Temple in Karur district. The court also directed the commissioner to submit a status report and impleaded several other government secretaries and officials in the case.

मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने हिंदू धार्मिक और धर्मार्थ बंदोबस्त (HR&CE) विभाग के कमिश्नर को कोर्ट में पेश होने का आदेश दिया है। यह कार्रवाई एक अवमानना याचिका के कारण हुई है, जिसमें पिछले कोर्ट के आदेश का पालन न करने का आरोप लगाया गया है। मूल आदेश में करूर जिले के कल्याण पशुपथीश्वरार मंदिर की भूमि से अतिक्रमण हटाने का निर्देश दिया गया था। कोर्ट ने कमिश्नर को एक स्टेटस रिपोर्ट जमा करने का भी निर्देश दिया और कई अन्य सरकारी सचिवों और अधिकारियों को मामले में पक्षकार बनाया।
