Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has intervened to protect sweet lime orchards and horticulture crops in Dharmavaram, Sri Sathya Sai district, from withering due to an irrigation water shortage exacerbated by El Nino. Farmers have made significant investments in these long-duration crops, making their protection critical. The District Collector has proposed that farmers arrange water tankers, with the administration supporting ₹800 per tanker. Modalities for payment and eligibility will be finalized soon, offering immediate relief to farmers facing distress conditions.

आंध्र प्रदेश के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री सत्य कुमार यादव ने एल नीनो के कारण सिंचाई के पानी की कमी से सूख रहे धर्मवरम, श्री सत्य साई जिले में मीठे नींबू के बागों और बागवानी फसलों को बचाने के लिए हस्तक्षेप किया है। किसानों ने इन लंबी अवधि की फसलों में महत्वपूर्ण निवेश किया है, जिससे उनकी सुरक्षा महत्वपूर्ण हो जाती है। जिला कलेक्टर ने किसानों द्वारा पानी के टैंकरों की व्यवस्था करने का प्रस्ताव दिया है, जिसमें प्रशासन ₹800 प्रति टैंकर की सहायता करेगा। भुगतान और पात्रता के तौर-तरीके जल्द ही तय किए जाएंगे, जिससे संकट की स्थिति का सामना कर रहे किसानों को तत्काल राहत मिलेगी।
