Election Commission to Run Special Campaign in 20 States for Voter Inclusion

The Election Commission of India has ordered a special campaign across states and union territories to add names of young and first-time voters to the electoral roll. This initiative follows a SIR and aims to include eligible citizens who may have been missed. Booth Level Officers will conduct door-to-door surveys, compare old and new voter lists, and assist in filling Form-6 for new registrations. Political parties will also receive updated lists.

भारत के चुनाव आयोग ने युवा और पहली बार वोट देने वाले मतदाताओं के नाम मतदाता सूची में जोड़ने के लिए राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में एक विशेष अभियान चलाने का आदेश दिया है। यह पहल एक SIR के बाद की गई है और इसका उद्देश्य योग्य नागरिकों को शामिल करना है जो छूट गए हों। बूथ लेवल अधिकारी घर-घर जाकर सर्वेक्षण करेंगे, पुरानी और नई मतदाता सूचियों की तुलना करेंगे, और नए पंजीकरण के लिए फॉर्म-6 भरने में सहायता करेंगे। राजनीतिक दलों को भी अद्यतन सूचियाँ मिलेंगी।
