Bengal Health Secy May Be Replaced Over RG Kar Washroom Repair Order

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari stated on Friday that the state government would replace the health secretary if it is proven he ordered repairs to washrooms near the seminar room at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. The repairs began a day after a postgraduate trainee doctor was found raped and murdered there, raising concerns about potential evidence tampering. Adhikari mentioned that the Public Works Department handled building maintenance and electrical work.

पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि अगर यह साबित हुआ कि उन्होंने आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल में सेमिनार रूम के पास वॉशरूम की मरम्मत का आदेश दिया था, तो राज्य सरकार स्वास्थ्य सचिव को बदल देगी। यह मरम्मत एक दिन बाद शुरू हुई जब एक स्नातकोत्तर ट्रेनी डॉक्टर के साथ बलात्कार और हत्या कर दी गई थी, जिससे सबूतों से छेड़छाड़ की आशंका बढ़ गई है। अधिकारी ने बताया कि पब्लिक वर्क्स डिपार्टमेंट भवन रखरखाव और बिजली का काम संभालता है।
