Pakistan Army Accused of Sabotaging China Ties, Shifting to US

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has accused Pakistan's army of derailing Chinese investments under CPEC, alleging a shift towards the United States. He claimed Pakistan disappointed Beijing by halting investments midway, warning this could deter other nations. Rehman stated that Americans themselves admitted to him that the US was replacing China's role. He also alleged that Pakistani politicians, backed by the military, prioritise personal interests over national economic well-being.

जमीयत उलेमा-ए-इस्लाम-फजल के प्रमुख मौलाना फजलुर रहमान ने पाकिस्तान की सेना पर CPEC के तहत चीनी निवेश को पटरी से उतारने का आरोप लगाया है। उन्होंने दावा किया कि पाकिस्तान ने बीजिंग को बीच में ही निवेश रोककर निराश किया, जिससे दूसरे देश भी हतोत्साहित हो सकते हैं। रहमान ने कहा कि अमेरिकियों ने खुद उन्हें स्वीकार किया कि अमेरिका चीन की जगह ले रहा है। उन्होंने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि सेना के समर्थन वाले पाकिस्तानी राजनेता राष्ट्रीय आर्थिक कल्याण से ऊपर व्यक्तिगत हितों को प्राथमिकता देते हैं।
