Madras HC: Men as House Husbands Normalise Family

The Madras High Court has stated that men taking on household responsibilities is as normal as women managing them. This perspective supports women's career advancement by acknowledging the need for partners who can manage domestic duties. Currently, about 2% of Indian men identify as house husbands, while 59% of women are homemakers. Indian women spend significantly more time on unpaid domestic work than men, highlighting the imbalance. The court emphasized that society should not view house husbands negatively, promoting a more equitable family structure.
