The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has transitioned from a territorial command model to a functional sector architecture to strengthen the security of India's strategic and economic assets. This restructuring, approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs, aims to improve force preparedness and safeguard critical infrastructure across various sectors like power, coal, steel, and petroleum. Previously, field and administrative bases were organized by territorial jurisdiction, leading to mixed security deployments.

सेंट्रल इंडस्ट्रियल सिक्योरिटी फोर्स (CISF) ने भारत की रणनीतिक और आर्थिक संपत्तियों की सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने के लिए एक क्षेत्रीय कमांड मॉडल से फंक्शनल सेक्टर आर्किटेक्चर में बदलाव किया है। गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा स्वीकृत इस पुनर्गठन का उद्देश्य विभिन्न क्षेत्रों जैसे बिजली, कोयला, इस्पात और पेट्रोलियम में बल की तैयारी में सुधार करना और महत्वपूर्ण बुनियादी ढांचे की सुरक्षा करना है। पहले, फील्ड और प्रशासनिक आधार क्षेत्रीय अधिकार क्षेत्र द्वारा आयोजित किए जाते थे, जिससे मिश्रित सुरक्षा तैनाती होती थी।
