Demolition crews in Maine have begun dismantling damaged sections of the new Llewellyn Estes Bridge over the Stillwater River in Old Town. The bridge partially collapsed on August 13, 2026, while workers were pouring concrete for the new deck, sending injured workers to the hospital. Contractors are using heavy machinery to cut and remove the collapsed parts from the river.
