Punjab CM Orders CBI Probe Into Anti-Drug Activist's Murder

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a CBI investigation into the murder of anti-drug activist Parwinder Jhota. Mann made the announcement upon returning from Paris, stating the government stands firmly with Jhota's family in the fight against drugs. The family's demand for a CBI inquiry has been accepted. Opposition parties, including the Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP, had also been demanding a similar investigation. Jhota's family has not yet performed his last rites, insisting on a CBI probe and a post-mortem by a PGI doctors' team.

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने ड्रग विरोधी कार्यकर्ता परविंदर झोटा की हत्या की सीबीआई जांच की घोषणा की है। मान ने पेरिस से लौटने पर यह घोषणा की और कहा कि सरकार ड्रग्स के खिलाफ लड़ाई में झोटा के परिवार के साथ मजबूती से खड़ी है। परिवार की सीबीआई जांच की मांग स्वीकार कर ली गई है। शिरोमणि अकाली दल और भाजपा सहित विपक्षी दलों ने भी इसी तरह की जांच की मांग की थी। झोटा के परिवार ने अभी तक उनके अंतिम संस्कार नहीं किए हैं, सीबीआई जांच और पीजीआई डॉक्टरों की टीम द्वारा पोस्टमार्टम की मांग पर अड़े हुए हैं।
