Pure EVs Outsell Hybrids By More Than 2:1

In the first half of 2026, pure electric cars outsold hybrid cars in India by more than two to one. A total of 1,48,023 electric cars were delivered compared to 57,855 hybrid cars. This marks a significant shift from global trends where hybrids often lead electrification. Sales of electric cars saw a 79% increase compared to the first half of 2025, driven by homegrown automakers like JSW MG Motor, Mahindra & Mahindra.

की पहली छमाही में भारत में इलेक्ट्रिक कारों की बिक्री हाइब्रिड कारों से दोगुनी से भी ज़्यादा रही। जहाँ 1,48,023 इलेक्ट्रिक कारें बिकीं, वहीं हाइब्रिड कारों की संख्या 57,855 रही। यह एक बड़ा बदलाव है, क्योंकि दुनिया भर में हाइब्रिड कारें ज़्यादा बिकती हैं। JSW MG Motor और Mahindra & Mahindra जैसी कंपनियों के कारण इलेक्ट्रिक कारों की बिक्री में 79% की ज़बरदस्त बढ़ोतरी हुई है।
