Marathi filmmaker Pravin Tarde has criticised Bollywood celebrities for their absence at veteran actor Nana Patekar's funeral. Tarde stated that those who considered Patekar a friend should have attended his final rites, emphasizing that Bollywood's presence does not define the actor's stature. He highlighted that thousands of farmers attended the funeral procession, asserting their importance over Bollywood personalities. Tarde expressed disappointment, noting that while Jackie Shroff and Suresh Wadkar were present, many others who knew Patekar were missing.
