Flex-fuel engines running on 100% ethanol being developed, says Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced that flex-fuel engines capable of running entirely on ethanol are under development. Vehicles using this technology will be introduced as India intensifies its push for alternative fuels. केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने घोषणा की कि इथेनॉल पर पूरी तरह से चलने वाले फ्लेक्स-फ्यूल इंजन विकसित किए जा रहे हैं। इस तकनीक का उपयोग करने वाले वाहन भारत द्वारा वैकल्पिक ईंधन को बढ़ावा देने के प्रयासों के बीच पेश किए जाएंगे। गडकरी ने किसानों की आय बढ़ाने और आयातित पेट्रोलियम पर देश की निर्भरता कम करने के लिए इथेनॉल की क्षमता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने बताया कि इथेनॉल उत्पादन से मक्के की कीमतों में पहले ही काफी वृद्धि हुई है। यह पहल स्वच्छ ऊर्जा स्रोतों को बढ़ावा देने और प्रदूषण को कम करने की सरकार की व्यापक रणनीति के अनुरूप है।
