The downpour also led to the damage of 117 houses, with 63 districts recording above-normal rainfall. The state received 19 times its normal rainfall in a single 24-hour period, with some areas experiencing up to 200 times the usual amount. Authorities are assessing damage, providing relief to affected families, and monitoring river levels due to concerns about rainfall in Nepal.

पिछले 48 घंटों में उत्तर प्रदेश में भारी बारिश और तूफानों से भारी तबाही हुई है। इस दौरान 15 लोगों की मौत हो गई और पांच घायल हो गए। 117 घर भी क्षतिग्रस्त हुए हैं। 63 जिलों में सामान्य से ज़्यादा बारिश दर्ज की गई। एक दिन में राज्य में सामान्य से 19 गुना ज़्यादा बारिश हुई, कुछ इलाकों में तो 200 गुना तक। अधिकारी नुकसान का आकलन कर रहे हैं और नेपाल में बारिश को देखते हुए नदियों के जलस्तर पर भी नज़र रखी जा रही है।
