External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that a concluded trade agreement between India and the US would significantly improve bilateral relations. He noted that negotiations have been complex due to differing production scales and societal structures in both nations. Jaishankar mentioned that changes in the US's Section 301 process have raised questions about the timing of the deal's finalisation. He indicated that resolving trade issues would contribute positively to the overall relationship between the two countries.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि भारत और अमेरिका के बीच एक व्यापार समझौता द्विपक्षीय संबंधों को काफी बेहतर बनाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों देशों में उत्पादन के पैमाने और सामाजिक संरचनाओं में अंतर के कारण बातचीत जटिल रही है। जयशंकर ने कहा कि अमेरिका की धारा 301 प्रक्रिया में बदलावों ने सौदे को अंतिम रूप देने के समय पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। उन्होंने संकेत दिया कि व्यापार मुद्दों को हल करने से दोनों देशों के बीच समग्र संबंध सकारात्मक रूप से योगदान देगा।
