Shivamogga Brahmin Mahasabha Spent Funds Violating By-laws, Inquiry Finds

An inquiry officer from the Department of Cooperation has found that the Shivamogga District Brahmin Mahasabha spent funds in violation of its by-laws. The report states that office-bearers spent over ₹1.14 crore on constructing buildings for a goshala managed on government land without proper lease. The Mahasabha also paid ₹72,000 annually as rent to a Samiti for land not in its name. The inquiry officer recommended that the spent amount be recovered from the executive committee members responsible for the violations.

सहयोग विभाग के एक जांच अधिकारी ने पाया है कि शिवमोग्गा जिला ब्राह्मण महासभा ने अपने उपनियमों का उल्लंघन कर फंड खर्च किए। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि पदाधिकारियों ने सरकारी जमीन पर बिना उचित पट्टे के संचालित गौशाला के निर्माण पर ₹1.14 करोड़ से अधिक खर्च किए। महासभा ने उस जमीन के लिए ₹72,000 सालाना किराया भी एक समिति को दिया जो उसके नाम पर नहीं थी। जांच अधिकारी ने सिफारिश की है कि खर्च की गई राशि की वसूली उल्लंघन के लिए जिम्मेदार कार्यकारी समिति के सदस्यों से की जाए।
