The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted simultaneous searches at 25 locations across Tamil Nadu, including the residence of former DMK minister KN Nehru. The raids are connected to an alleged Rs 634 crore cash-for-jobs scam involving recruitment to government posts. The Madras High Court had previously allowed the agency to investigate irregularities during the previous DMK government's tenure. Officials are examining documents and financial transactions to identify those involved in the alleged scheme.

निगरानी और भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक निदेशालय (DVAC) ने तमिलनाडु में 25 जगहों पर एक साथ तलाशी ली, जिसमें पूर्व DMK मंत्री केएन नेहरू का निवास भी शामिल था। ये छापेमारी सरकारी पदों पर भर्ती से जुड़े कथित 634 करोड़ रुपये के नौकरी के बदले नकदी घोटाले से जुड़ी हैं। मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने पहले एजेंसी को पिछली DMK सरकार के कार्यकाल के दौरान हुई अनियमितताओं की जांच करने की अनुमति दी थी। अधिकारी कथित योजना में शामिल लोगों की पहचान करने के लिए दस्तावेजों और वित्तीय लेनदेन की जांच कर रहे हैं।
