Karnataka Petrol Pumps Found With Defective Nozzles

An inspection of 3,071 fuel dispensing nozzles across 805 petrol stations in Karnataka revealed that 85.2% were defective. Out of these, 2,618 nozzles showed issues, with 101 stations exceeding the permissible fuel dispensation error limit of 25 ml per five litres. This could cost consumers hundreds of crores annually. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rizwan Arshad stated that recalibration will continue annually, despite a Union government proposal to extend it to 24 months.

कर्नाटक में 805 पेट्रोल पंपों पर 3,071 फ्यूल डिस्पेंसिंग नोजल की जांच में 85.2% खराब पाए गए। इनमें से 2,618 नोजल में दिक्कत थी, और 101 स्टेशनों पर 5 लीटर में 25 ml से ज़्यादा फ्यूल की गड़बड़ी मिली। इससे ग्राहकों को हर साल करोड़ों का नुकसान हो सकता है। मंत्री रिजवान अरशद ने कहा कि हर साल नोजल ठीक किए जाएंगे, भले ही केंद्र सरकार 24 महीने का प्रस्ताव दे।
