Abhinandan Varthaman Retires, Flies For Airline

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman has taken premature retirement from the Indian Air Force. He is now training abroad to fly ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft. Varthaman will reportedly operate flights for regional airline FLY91 in Goa. The airline welcomes many defense officers for their second careers. FLY91 recently ordered forty ATR 72-600 aircraft globally, indicating expansion plans.
