The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has alleged that Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas was brutally attacked by Delhi Police. The party shared a video showing Brittas visibly injured and struggling to walk, being helped by another person and a Delhi Police officer. The officer assisted Brittas to an autorickshaw. The CPM stated that the Delhi Police have crossed all limits with this alleged assault. The incident has raised serious concerns about the conduct of law enforcement towards elected officials.

भारतीय कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी (मार्क्सवादी) ने आरोप लगाया है कि दिल्ली पुलिस ने राज्यसभा सांसद जॉन ब्रिट्टस की बर्बरता से पिटाई की है। पार्टी ने एक वीडियो साझा किया जिसमें ब्रिट्टस को चोटिल अवस्था में और चलने में संघर्ष करते हुए दिखाया गया है, उन्हें एक अन्य व्यक्ति और एक दिल्ली पुलिस अधिकारी मदद कर रहे थे। अधिकारी ने ब्रिट्टस को एक ऑटो-रिक्शा में बैठने में मदद की। CPM ने कहा कि दिल्ली पुलिस ने इस कथित हमले से सारी हदें पार कर दी हैं। इस घटना ने निर्वाचित अधिकारियों के प्रति कानून प्रवर्तन एजेंसियों के आचरण पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है।
