Over 20 postgraduate biology teachers in Chennai are enhancing their skills through a two-day workshop focused on genetics and molecular biology concepts. The sessions, organized by MS Swaminathan Research Foundation and XV Genetics Congress Trust, include practical experiments on techniques like polymerase chain reaction and DNA cloning. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application for teachers, enabling them to better engage students. The training covers topics from the higher secondary syllabus that often lack practical exposure, fostering greater interest in life sciences.
