AI Use in Libraries May Harm Creativity: Experts

Experts have cautioned against the excessive use of artificial intelligence in libraries, warning it could diminish human creativity and thinking abilities. Speaking at a state librarians' conference in Dharwad, former vice-chancellor Prof BD Kumbar advised cautious AI implementation to enhance services. Concerns were also raised about significant librarian vacancies, with one university library reduced from 35 to just two librarians.
