UK technology giant HubSpot is laying off 660 employees, representing 7% of its global workforce. CEO Yamini Rangan announced the decision via an email to staff, describing it as a restructuring and an AI strategy shift. The company stated these cuts are not driven by AI efficiencies but rather a need to organize around customer outcomes and build a flatter organization. The job cuts were authorized on October 1 and announced this week, with the timeline dependent on local consultation laws, particularly in Ireland.
