FSSAI Cracks Down on Flavouring Norms Violations

FSSAI has issued notices to USL, Inbrew, and other manufacturers for violating flavouring norms. The regulator stated that these companies are adding the flavour of the standardised alcoholic beverage itself, such as rum flavour in rum or whisky flavour in whisky.

एफएसएसएआई ने यूएसएल, इनब्रू और अन्य निर्माताओं को फ्लेवरिंग नियमों के उल्लंघन पर नोटिस जारी किए हैं। नियामक ने कहा कि ये कंपनियां मानकीकृत मादक पेय का ही फ्लेवर मिला रही हैं, जैसे रम में रम फ्लेवर या व्हिस्की में व्हिस्की फ्लेवर। यह नियमों के खिलाफ है और ग्राहकों को गुमराह कर सकता है।
