Delhi Govt Plans Artificial Rain Post-Diwali To Combat Air Pollution

The Delhi government is preparing to conduct artificial rain after Diwali to mitigate the city's severe air pollution. Two successful trials of cloud seeding have already been conducted near Delhi Airport in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. These trials involved cloud seeding at an altitude of approximately 30,000 meters, which is three times higher than previous attempts. This initiative aims to provide some relief from the capital's toxic air quality.

दिल्ली सरकार दिवाली के बाद शहर के गंभीर वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए कृत्रिम बारिश कराने की तैयारी कर रही है। IIT कानपुर के सहयोग से दिल्ली एयरपोर्ट के पास क्लाउड सीडिंग के दो सफल ट्रायल पहले ही किए जा चुके हैं। इन ट्रायलों में लगभग 30,000 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर क्लाउड सीडिंग शामिल थी, जो पिछले प्रयासों से तीन गुना अधिक है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य राजधानी की जहरीली हवा की गुणवत्ता से कुछ राहत प्रदान करना है।
