Nahida Akter has been appointed as the new T20I captain for Bangladesh, with Sobhana Mostary set to serve as her deputy. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the decision on Sunday, with Nahida succeeding Nigar Sultana. Sultana stepped down from the T20I leadership role after the Asian Games to concentrate on her batting. The BCB cited Nahida's extensive experience as vice-captain since 2022 as a key factor in their choice. Nigar Sultana will continue to lead the team in ODIs.
