A three-year-old tigress was released into West Bengal's Buxa Tiger Reserve on Friday, marking a significant step in reintroducing big cats to the area. The tigress was brought from Bihar's Valmiki Tiger Reserve as part of a project to augment the tiger population. Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav attended the event, and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced plans to release three more tigers within the next two months.
