Woman Files FIR Alleging Marriage Without HIV Status Disclosure

A 25-year-old woman in Varanasi has filed an FIR against her husband and in-laws for allegedly arranging her marriage in 2024 without revealing the groom's HIV positive status. She claims that after discovering his condition post-marriage, she was subjected to physical abuse and dowry demands. The complaint also includes allegations of her in-laws making objectionable videos and threatening to viral them. The case was registered after the woman approached senior government officials, following an initial complaint.

वाराणसी में 25 साल की एक महिला ने अपने पति और ससुराल वालों के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज कराई है। आरोप है कि 2024 में उसकी शादी दूल्हे की HIV पॉजिटिव स्थिति बताए बिना तय की गई थी। महिला का दावा है कि शादी के बाद पति की हालत पता चलने पर उसके साथ मारपीट की गई और दहेज की मांग की गई। शिकायत में ससुराल वालों पर आपत्तिजनक वीडियो बनाने और उन्हें वायरल करने की धमकी देने का भी आरोप है। शुरुआती शिकायत के बाद वरिष्ठ सरकारी अधिकारियों से संपर्क करने पर मामला दर्ज किया गया।
