The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 6.642 kg of amphetamine, valued at Rs 5.32 crore, near Bhopal. Acting on specific intelligence, DRI intercepted a bus and recovered the drugs from a passenger's duffle bag. Field tests confirmed the substance as amphetamine, a synthetic psychotropic drug. The arrested individual was found to be on bail in another drug trafficking case, indicating repeated offences. Investigators also seized Rs 48,400 in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover the wider drug network.
